The Water EP

This EP is a progression of our sound, letting the soulful side of our writing take the foreground but with elements that are still undeniably 'Anushka'.
As the EP took shape, water as a concept, as an element, seemed to be present in key moments of the creative process. We met by the sea and that constant change, calm, storm, gentle, severe (and all the things in between) that water has the ability to be, seems to be a big part of our narrative. Water as a theme, kept appearing in the lyrics, life giving, fluid, cool and Ryan Hawaii’s artwork perfectly reflects this.
Lyrically and production wise it moves between Detroit Hip Hop, Chicago House, 2000s RnB and Afro Futurist Slow Jams. We just went with what we were feeling and we’re really proud of it..

I haven't heard anything as just completely perfectly formed out of the gate--every decision the right one, what to include but more what to exclude--maybe ever. Don't know who Sault is, but they do not sound like they could be anyone who hasn't paid some dues to get this good. Or signed some Satanic contracts. 100% confidence, and it sounds 110% earned.
